Lyle & Scott x Birds of Condor
FRIENDS OF A FEATHER:
LYLE & SCOTT TEAMS UP WITH BIRDS OF CONDOR
Under the banner of ‘Friends of a feather’, the UK’s Lyle & Scott and Australia’s Birds of Condor will bring the world of golf together, fusing fashion and function on the fairway with their upcoming collaboration.
‘The Original Golf Brand’ and pioneers of branded golfwear invited their Australian counterparts to join forces on a collection that celebrates Scotland, the home of the world’s best golf courses, and the laid-back free-spirited culture of the Australian coastline. Think timeless argyle patterns with a modern twist, paired with vibrant hues inspired by sun-kissed beaches.
The duo recruited one of Australia’s heavy hitters when it comes to tattooing, Dan Coy, to bring the collaboration to life with the design of a winged golf ball character, Birdie. Coy, known for blending traditional tattooing with his Australian heritage and impeccable sense of Y2K fashion, was the perfect creative addition to combine Lyle & Scott’s classic design with Birds of Condor’s youthful energy.
Production has been split, enabling each party to produce the products that they are best known for: Lyle & Scott’s expertise being knitwear and jersey with Birds of Condor leading on headwear, accessories and all over prints. The result is a collection split across two drops, with a strategic market release that adopts the familiar golf lexicon of the front nine and back nine.
The ‘Front Nine’ is due to launch in July 2024 and will be supported by a launch event in London, taking place opposite Lyle & Scott’s offices situated between Camden’s famous locks. The ‘Back Nine’ launches the following month to land in the peak of the British summer and golf season.
From polos and knitwear to caps and soft goods, this collaboration has you covered from the first drive to the final putt and well into a misspent evening in the clubhouse.
