GEORGINA HUNT
"My take on Lyle & Scott’s heritage is deeply rooted in football and sub cultures and with the brief 'Football for All', I envisioned creating a collection that could celebrate the brand’s rich history and craftsmanship. As I began researching the archives, it was the Golf knits from the 80s that got me so hyped, the mad bright colourways and huge bold argyle patterns impressed me so much, and felt so contrasted to the more muted colours of their current collections."
THIS UNIFORM
"My design process in-volved using archive L&S knitwear designs and interpreting them into hand-made appliqué to highlight the high quality craftsmanship and textiles that L&S have pioneered since 1874. Every item for the appliqué is hand measured, cut and sewn which really slows down the process of making clothes - I love how tangible the garments become."
JONATHAN SAUNDERS
After winning plaudits for his innovative use of colour, the celebrated Glaswegian designer Jonathan Saunders kicked off Lyle & Scott’s 140th year by creating an op-art inspired collection referencing Peter Saville’s artworks and the traditional iconography of classic knitwear patterns.

The elevator makes three stops, each showcasing a pivotal era: Golf in the 1970s, the Football Casuals movement in the 80s, and the Indie scene in the early 2000s. Finally, he reaches the top floor where our CEO greets him.
